Judy Pollard-Licklider

Founder

Carrying on Erin’s legacy of hope is Judy Pollard-Licklider. Judy, a licensed speech-language pathologist, is the founder and president of the Erin Is Hope Foundation, Inc., and director of the Pollard-Licklider Clinic. A popular speaker at Kansas’ public school districts, universities and regional conferences, she has been featured on nationally syndicated radio on the subject of autism. Medical and educational advocacy comes naturally for her. Judy provided extensive consultation for L.A. Lindsay learned to communicate through the methods practiced at the Pollard-Licklider Clinic.

SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY

Erin Is Hope Foundation, Inc. implements a specialized, systematic, incremental, multi-sensory methodology called “Association Method” with our severe language disordered children. This repetitive, highly structured tool is highly effective in training verbal skills to children with serious speech and language impairments, such as verbal apraxia and aphasia. With specialized modifications, the Association Method is often successful in training functional speech and language skills for children with autism. It provides a gateway to improvements in speech, language, reading and writing for various diagnoses, including hearing impairment, dyslexia and Down’s Syndrome.
